There is no denying, when you or someone you love has been diagnosed with a serious, life-threatening illness, your life will be impacted. Managing physical and emotional issues after diagnosis is of paramount importance, which is why Florida Oncology Associates provides a wide variety of services to make your treatment stress free.
During your first visit, you will have the option to meet with a financial counselor. The financial counselor will verify your insurance coverage and determine procedures that are pre-authorized by your insurance company. For any amount that is not directly covered by your insurance provider, your financial counselor will work closely with you to determine appropriate payment schedules. Financial counselors also work hand-in-hand with the oncology social worker at each office to provide additional resource assistance if needed through pharmaceutical companies, government agencies and private funds.
